During the past three years from 2020-22 because of the Covid-19 and economic slowdown in the region, Yangon Xpress Logistics realizes that change is inevitable and often necessary even though it may not be easy for employees to adopt with the new methods of using tools and revising operational method.

Since, the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, we explained the need for change and clearly communicated with all employees for the urgent need to implement a new operational process due to the crisis. YXL entailed our business goals that we hope to achieve with the intended changes, and the benefits gains expected from these new processes.

First, we have assessed our current organization’s people, process, and resources. We have employed new system for  managing our customer services by reassessing employee’s skill, knowledge and tools intended to support them and arranged a few trainings program. We also developed workshops, presentations virtually and encourage continuous improvement which was very successful until today.

As Covid-19 Pandemic has brought forth new challenges to logistics and transportation industry which has a significant impact on logistics sector. The transport and logistics sector are particularly vulnerable especially in time of crisis and also in economic slowdown and shock. In order to meet with small size cargoes, we purchased and introduced some 16-foot box trucks which can be multipurpose use rather than normal trucks. This has proved to be more efficient and effective during this pandemic from 2020-2022.

With the introduction of our new box trucks, we have introduced navigation system and the GPS tracking systems, we have done regular training to our employees. By introducing new box trucks, we have upgraded our warehouse in line with cold chain standards.  YXL provides an integrated, cost-effective Myanmar logistics and cold chain solution in time of Covid-19 pandemic crisis.



We have trained employees how to operate insulated docking stations, manage staging areas, and storage compartments to ensure that cold chains are properly maintained in our warehouse. We equipped our facility with the capacity of full electric generator to back up in case of blackouts. Maintenance and refrigeration protocols are set up to ensure the standards of storage temperatures and cold chains are in order and under a certain degree and temperatures.

Our logistics and transportation staff receive a monthly intensive training to ensure to meet the international quality standards and practices.
